There were supposed to be a dozen, but turned out to be about 16 of us painting Mayor Mary Lyons-Buckett and this was my effort after about an hour and a half's painting time.
The 2016 Archibald Prize Exhibition is currently on show at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, and, as is becoming a tradition (we painted the previous Mayor when the Archibald was last hosted here), a number of local artists were invited to paint a portrait of the Mayor in the midst of the exhibition.

today's portrait at the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop at the WSU in Richmond, and a little more work done to the portrait of James Hancock
latest portrait under way of Blue Mountains artist James Hancock, who I see regularly every week at the life drawing group at the Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre.
I started a couple of larger size plain air paintings this week before the wet weather came along, at one of the sites a very confident Kookaburra decided to have a closer look at what I was doing. and the latest painting from Saturday's portrait group at Richmond Art Supplies
