two portrait studies today at the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop, WSU Richmond, 40 minutes and 60 minutes
It is disappointing to see the mistreatment by anonymous individuals of items of public value! I went to one of the local national parks to paint this morning, the rocks at the entrance of this section have had to be refaced to hide graffiti, the sign warning of the dangerous cliff has been removed, and one of the trees has been wrapped up with nylon wire!
and in addition to that, the wind was so gusty and cold and with changing light, that I decided to leave the painting I had started... and on the way back down stopped for an easier sketch!
At this week's life drawing at Glenbrook it was one of those rare occurrences when, due to unexpected complications there wasn't a model to draw, so we took it in turns to draw 10 or 12 minute portrait sketches of each other, here's a sample of 3
and today's 60 minute oil portrait from the monthly portrait group at Richmond Art Supplies
