Today was the opening of our exhibition commemorating Forty Years of the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop.
Emeritus Professor Graham Swain AM (former Principal of HAC and retired Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney and Chief Executive Officer opened the Exhibition, his speech covered the beginning of his role in the birth of the Western Sydney University, and the beginning of the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop, and it's 'mid life crisis' with the changing relationship from the Hawkesbury Agricultural College to WSU
The Exhibition at the Margaret Whitlam Galleries,Female Orphan School, Building EZ, Western Sydney University (Parramatta Campus) i on until Friday 22 February 2019, Off Victoria Road, Rydalmere and is curated by Monica McMahon, Art Curator, Western Sydney University
The Historical building is a wonderful venue for a beautiful exhibition of works by the variety of workshop members, the disability groups, and works of Kevin Oxley who was one of the driving forces for establishing the Workshop.
